Michelle Houston
Board Member, Foundation Assistant

Michelle and her husband, Robert, have called Raymore home since 2009. They are proud parents of a Raymore-Peculiar graduate and another student currently attending Raymore-Peculiar High School.
Michelle grew up in Topeka, Kansas, and earned her bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Washburn University. She spent ten years working in the Actuarial and Statistical Department at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas before choosing to devote her time to raising her family and giving back through volunteerism.
Michelle has been actively involved in the Raymore-Peculiar School District and community for many years. She has held various leadership positions in PTAs at multiple schools and in the Ray-Pec Band Booster Club, and has served on the Ray-Pec Citizens Advisory Council. She currently chairs Ray-Pec Cares and volunteers at her local church. In recognition of her dedication to students and families, Michelle was honored as the 2026 Ray-Pec Volunteer of the Year.
In addition to her volunteer work, Michelle is the Foundation Assistant for the Raymore-Peculiar Public School Foundation. She is passionate about supporting students, staff, and families and is honored to help further the Foundation’s mission to enhance educational opportunities for the benefit of the Raymore-Peculiar community.
