The Joe Moore Scholarship
The $1,000 Joe Moore Scholarship is designed to promote a junior or senior level student's career development in the building trades, such as carpentry, electrical or plumbing. Joe Moore is a 1971 Ray-Pec alumnus who has enjoyed a 50+-year career as a remodeling contractor and woodworker.
His career began as a summer job between junior and senior years at Ray-Pec. When employed full time after high school graduation, he was mentored by some extraordinary men and women in the field. With their encouragement, he grew in skills and passion for his profession.
Funding of this scholarship is in appreciation of the help Joe received and to facilitate the growth of others.
Criteria:
Cumulative GPA - minimum of 2.5
Good attendance
Current resume
Two character reference letters
